Towards Rewards
Hi, we are Roy & Janice, a couple that lives on a budget, loves to travel and save money! We have lived and traveled around the world, even safely during Covid, and would like to share our travel tips and strategies with our friends and followers so they too, can start Traveling Towards Rewards!
Thank you for stopping by and stay tuned for more updates!

Join Marriott Bonvoy before you do anything else because if you don't link a Bonvoy account to your credit cards before using them, you will not start earning points. If you have not done so already, send us your email and we will send you a referral offer! My Friends will earn 2,000 bonus points after their first five stays. That's up to 10,000 bonus points total for them.
Besides using our new cards for groceries, gas and living expenses within our budget, the next step is to find out what monthly utilities, registrations, subscription fees and insurance bills you can charge so you will not incur more debt while earning rewards.
We found out that almost all of our bills could be paid using a credit card without additional fees! Some of them charged a small fee and some required a 3rd party and after a cost analysis, we voted against 3rd party services.
One of them with a small fee, the Electric bill, only charged a $1.65 transaction fee and our bill is always over $300 so that's nominal for the 600+ bonvoy points we'll be adding to our account each month! However, our Rent requires a 3rd party service which charges a monthly fee, transaction fee and percentage of the payment amount so it just wasn't worth the extra cost to us.
After scheduling most of the bills to be paid using our credid cards instead, we found out two of them require us to login and pay them manually by credit card but it's so much easier to keep track of because we just have to pay off one credit card from our checking account!
Ok, now that you have started accumulating and received Bonus Points for signing up, it's time to start planning your next trip well in advance!
Check prices and point values regularly and jump on any deals you find because most of them you can cancel or change without penalty days before!
This is the exciting part and will keep you focused towards your goal!
Here is an Actual 13 Day Vacation we booked and enjoyed in Maui using a combination of Southwest Rapid Rewards, Marriott Bonvoy Points, Local Car Rentals and Campgrounds to save even more money!
This total trip, minus the food and excursions, cost less than $1,200k!!! We kept checking rates daily and jumped on it when we they had deals!
